MSB Docs, a global smart document and e-signature platform for regulated industries, today announced an expanded electronic signature and document management offering for life sciences organizations in Dubai, the wider UAE and Saudi Arabia. Building on its work with pharmaceutical clients already in the region, MSB Docs is bringing together 21 CFR Part 11 and EU GMP Annex 11 compliant e-signature workflows, UAE-hosted and on-premise deployment for data residency, and national ID based signer authentication through UAE Pass, Nafath, Oman PKI and India Aadhaar on one platform.

Saudi Vision 2030 and the UAE's national industrial strategy, Operation 300bn, are driving rapid growth in local pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing. As capacity grows, regulators including the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) and the UAE's Emirates Drug Establishment (EDE) expect manufacturing and quality records to meet international GxP standards.

Many sites still route batch manufacturing records, laboratory protocols and CAPA, and deviation reports on paper. That leaves room for missing signatures, incomplete audit trails and delayed batch release, all of which can surface during an inspection. Moving to electronic batch records and a validated document management system closes those gaps.

GxP compliance and 21 CFR Part 11 e-signatures: MSB Docs provides FDA 21 CFR Part 11 and EU GMP Annex 11 controls out of the box. These include unique user authentication, signature manifestations that record the signer's name, date, time, and the meaning of each signature, and computer generated audit trails of every document action. The platform integrates with LIMS, QMS and major productivity suites, so records move between systems without paper hand offs.

Data residency in the UAE: Organizations in the region must align with Saudi Arabia's Personal Data Protection Law, the National Data Management Office (NDMO) standards and the UAE's Federal Decree Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data. MSB Docs offers e-signature and document hosting in UAE data centres, and on premise deployment for organizations that need their data to stay within their own infrastructure.

National ID based authentication: MSB Docs verifies signers using supported national digital identity systems, including UAE Pass, Nafath, Oman PKI and India Aadhaar. Signers confirm who they are with the credentials they already use for government services, and the verified identity is recorded against each signature in the audit trail. This adds strong identity assurance to e-signatures under the UAE's Federal Decree Law No. 46 of 2021 on Electronic Transactions and Trust Services and Saudi Arabia's Electronic Transactions Law.

“Our clients in the region asked for two things together: GxP grade signing and confidence that their data stays where the law requires. Bringing in country hosting and national ID based signer verification through UAE Pass and Nafath onto one compliant platform gives them both.”

With these capabilities on one platform, pharmaceutical manufacturers, CROs and healthcare organizations in Dubai, across the UAE and in Saudi Arabia can digitize their quality and manufacturing records while staying inspection ready. Organizations can book a demo at msbdocs.com.
